The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) declared the HSC Part-II Science Pre-Engineering Annual Examination 2026 result on 17 August 2026 at 4:00 pm. The examination began on 30 April 2026, theory papers ran to 8 June 2026, and practicals continued to 16 July 2026.
How is the HSC percentage calculated for university admission?
Your HSC Part-II percentage is your total marks out of 1100. BIEK's grading formula sets A-1 at 880 marks and above (80%+), A at 770–879 (70–79.99%), B at 660–769 (60–69.99%), C at 550–659 (50–59.99%), D at 440–549 (40–49.99%), and E at 363–439 (33–39.99%). Below 363 marks is a fail.

NED calculates merit as a composite of your Intermediate marks and the ECAT entry test, so your HSC percentage alone does not decide admission. Closing merit differs by discipline every year.
