Where does our merit data come from?
Succeed uses publicly published admission merit lists from Pakistani universities and colleges. These lists are released each year during the admissions cycle and show the minimum percentage required to secure a seat in each program. We collect, verify, and structure this data so students can instantly match their board percentage to real cutoffs.

How We Build the Dataset
Collect official merit lists
After each admissions cycle, universities and colleges publish their closing merit percentages per program. We collect these from official institutional sources.
Verify and structure the data
Each entry is cross-checked against the institution's official website. We record the program name, board, class level, and closing percentage.
Classify by difficulty
We tag each institution as SAFE (your marks are comfortably above cutoff), MATCH (you're within a few percentage points), or REACH (below cutoff but close). This helps you prioritize applications.
Update annually
Merit data is refreshed after each admissions season. New institutions and programs are added as we grow our coverage.
Accuracy and Limitations
What we get right
- Closing merits from the most recent admissions cycle
- Board-specific cutoffs (BIEK, BSEK, Aga Khan, Federal)
- Program-level filtering (Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Commerce, Arts)
- 100+ universities and colleges across Karachi
Keep in mind
- Merit cutoffs change every year based on seat availability and applicant volume
- Institutions may add criteria beyond percentage (interviews, entrance tests)
- Data currently covers Karachi — more cities coming soon
- Always verify with the institution directly before applying
